new beginnings
There has been no content from me these past weeks because, quite frankly, I was dealing with a lot (assessments from Uni and emotional overload). While I intend to take the rest of the month to recharge, I prepared a wrap-up of some of the highlights from more & more to go through.
With that in mind, here are some of my most popular issues from 2024:
As the year draws to a close, I find myself reflecting on the unexpected turns, transitions, and the challenge of settling into a new life. I was in Brazil just months ago, surrounded by familiar places and people. Now, I'm wondering how a whole year of doing a master's program in London will shape who I'm becoming. I want to thank those who read and joined me on this journey. Each time I send a post, I picture you on the other side of the screen. The thought that something I've shared might resonate with you, stir a memory, or spark a new idea never ceases to motivate me.
This year has been filled with meaningful moments. There was the excitement before boarding the plane, the feeling of creating new habits, the conversation with strangers-turned-friends, the comfort of supping a hot tea before bed, the quiet reflections of museums, and the soft smiles. Each of them has been part of my life now, the one I'm still learning to understand. In these online shared conversations, I found comfort in knowing that someone out there is also learning, questioning, and finding their way. So, as I close out this year and step into the next, I wanted to thank you for letting my words accompany you for some small part of your day.
I hope that, wherever you are, you feel a sense of belonging too, not only in a place but perhaps in an idea, story, or a shared longing for something.
Here's to the faith that we’re capable of finding our footing!
what to expect
I will be back in January with my reflections and weekly e-mails diving deep into the complexities of life, aiming to be an antidote to the social pressures after New Year's resolutions to be the best version of ourselves.
That's all for now <3
what's in my draft - draft is a WhatsApp group name that I have with myself - and now I want to change from private to public:
📖 “The Vegetarian” - KANG, Han.
🎞️ Black Swan (2010).
🎧 Purple Phase by Arlo Parks.
